God, Wife, and Struggles

This blog will have difficult content, be very honest, but also bring light and truth to what my life is like.

Life: What’s Next?

If you would have asked me three years what I wanted to do with my life, I wouldn’t have known what to say. Today, I have a plan but all of our plans are still variables.

Life is filled with variables, that’s one of the greatest things that God has granted us.
The ability to have free will means that we get to make decisions over the choices life gives us. Sometimes, our judgment brings us to make mistakes and other times success comes our way.

“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able , but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. ”

– 1Corinthians 10:13

Of course, during all of this we want to make the best choice for our lives. Therefore, I think we have a plan but it’s all subject to change. J, my husband, is interested in law enforcement and is currently applying for the sheriff department. He has applied to the city police twice but he hasn’t had much luck with it. He’s what you think a 24-year-old American man looks like fit, tall, pale, blond haired, bearded, with hazel-green eyes, oh and very handsome! Sadly, law enforcement offices are looking to become more diverse and it’s very difficult to get in. He’s going to continue trying to apply but, I also want to apply.

Growing up, I wanted to be involved in law enforcement or the military. When I was a senior in high school, I had a few recruiters that I had talked to. I was really close to enlisting, but, I didn’t. My father was going through a nasty divorce, I didn’t feel like I could leave him in that situation.

Fast forwarding a few years later, I have worked at a middle school after school program, Youth for Christ, and a daycare. I love working with kids, I’m working on getting my professional in-home care degree to open our own in-home daycare. Ideally, I would love to try working in law enforcement then opening up our daycare.

Although I don’t know what life has in plan for us. I hope that whatever I do, I’m helping people. I want to praise God in all I do and live my life reflecting him. Whether that is busting bad guys or teaching children their first bible verse.
